Wesley Taylor Named CEO of Ashley Regional Medical Center

Wes Taylor will be the new CEO at Ashley Regional Medical Center in Vernal UTVernal, Utah (April 13, 2020) – Ashley Regional Medical Center (ARMC) today announced that Wesley Taylor has been named its new chief executive officer (CEO). Taylor comes to ARMC from Havasu Regional Medical Center (HRMC) in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where he has served as chief operating officer (COO) since 2017. His first day at ARMC will be April 30, 2020.

“We are thrilled to welcome Wes into his new role as CEO of Ashley Regional,” said Sandra Podley, president of LifePoint Health’s Western Division, of which ARMC is a part. “Wes is a great healthcare leader. He has tremendous operational expertise paired with a commitment to quality care and a dedication to community. We are confident that he is the right leader to take Ashley Regional into the future.”

During Taylor’s tenure as COO of HRMC, he oversaw several multi-million-dollar construction and renovation projects, the expansion of service lines, the recruiting of new physicians, and many staff development and community initiatives. Prior to HRMC, he held several roles at Universal Health Services, including serving as Assistant Administrator I for Southwest Healthcare System, overseeing two acute care facilities in Wildomar and Murrieta, California, and serving as Assistant Administrator II for George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Taylor began his career in healthcare as an Administrative Fellow and Transplant Institute Manager at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia.

Taylor earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Marriott School of Management, Brigham Young University, in Provo, Utah, and a master’s degree in health care administration from University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
