Ashley Regional Medical Center Welcomes New Pediatric Provider to its Medical Staff

Vernal, Utah (July 15, 2025) - Ashley Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that a new pediatric provider will soon join its medical staff. Makenzie Holmes, a Doctor of Nursing Practices, is welcoming new patients starting on August 1, 2025.
"We are excited to welcome Makenzie Holmes to our medical staff. Not only does she bring a wealth of knowledge with her, but she also knows Vernal and is a lifelong resident," shared Alan Olive, Chief Executive Officer at Ashley Regional Medical Center. "We hope that the community joins us in welcoming her to Ashley Regional, embracing her expertise and experience, and adding to the quality care our medical staff provides each and every day."
Makenzie Holmes, DNP, APRN, FNP-C completed her undergraduate education at Utah State University, completing her Bachelor of Nursing Science and Bachelor of Integrated Studies with an emphasis in Biological and Environmental Sciences. Makenzie went on to obtain her license as a Registered Nurse, and furthered her education at University of Utah, where she completed a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a specialty track of Family Nursing Practice.
She has completed extra training and clinical hours to learn to meet the needs of rural and minority populations, in addition to completing a fellowship with the Utah Regional Leadership in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities. Through this fellowship, Makenzie worked closely with interdisciplinary professionals to learn how to provide comprehensive care for medically complex children. Makenzie also worked to complete advanced training with Primary Children’s ASPIRE Team and is certified to evaluate and diagnose children aged 2-3 years old with Autism.
