Dr. Payton Christensen joins Ashley Regional Medical Center

Ashley Regional continues to expand medical services available across the Uintah Basin.
Vernal, UT (August 3, 2026) – Ashley Regional Medical Center today announced that Dr. Payton Christensen, D.O. has joined its staff and will be offering primary care services to patients in the Vernal area and the surrounding region. Dr. Christensen is the fourth new provider to join Ashley Regional this year as the hospital continues to grow its primary care services.
As a family medicine provider and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Christensen believes in caring for the whole person, not just treating an illness or injury. His osteopathic training allows him to take a comprehensive approach to healthcare, considering the physical, emotional, and lifestyle factors that influence a patient's health. Through personalized care and a focus on prevention, he partners with patients and families to help them achieve their best possible health at every stage of life.

Dr. Christensen is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association and the American Medical Association. Fluent in both English and French, he is excited to make Vernal home and serve patients throughout the Uintah Basin. Outside of medicine, Dr. Christensen enjoys a variety of sports and spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and camping with his family.
