October 07, 2026
Vernal, Utah (October 7, 2026) – Ashley Regional Medical Group is pleased to announce healthcare services in Daggett County will open Friday, October 9, 2026, at the existing Manila Clinic location. Services will remain in the old clinic space until construction is complete on the new building.
The partnership follows Daggett County's request for proposals for management and operation of healthcare services within the county. The clinic will remain a Daggett County-owned facility, with Ashley Regional Medical Group providing clinical services and operational support.
Beginning October 9, Ashley Regional will offer Primary Care and Walk-In Clinic services Wednesday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The clinic will be closed daily for lunch. The clinic will provide convenient access to care for patients seeking treatment for minor illnesses and injuries, preventive services, chronic disease management, and other primary care needs.
"We are excited to begin providing care in Manila and to be a local resource for residents and visitors in Daggett County," said Wayne Gatewood, Physician Services Director at Ashley Regional Medical Group. "Our focus is on making care more convenient and accessible while building trust with the patients and families we have the privilege to serve."
This partnership reflects Ashley Regional's ongoing commitment to improving healthcare access throughout the Uintah Basin and surrounding communities. Patients receiving care in Manila will benefit from the support of Ashley Regional's broader healthcare network, including access to specialty care, diagnostic services, and hospital resources when needed.
"Having healthcare close to home makes a meaningful difference, especially in rural communities," Gatewood said. "We look forward to caring for patients in Manila and supporting the long-term health needs of the Daggett County community."
Daggett County officials expressed appreciation for the partnership, which will help bring continued healthcare services to the community through the county's newly developed clinic space.
Patients may begin scheduling appointments now by calling 435.784.3575. To support a smooth transition of care, patients who plan to establish care at the Manila Clinic are encouraged to request that their medical records be sent to Ashley Regional Medical Group. Ashley Regional looks forward to becoming part of the Daggett County community and continuing to provide accessible, high-quality care close to home.
